Seminar: The protection and legacy of our elm heritage

The protection and legacy of our elm heritage is a one-day seminar on the importance of the elm, control measures for DED, and research into resistant varieties. It is being organised by The Conservation Foundation as part of the Ulmus Maritime elm heritage project in Sussex.


Speakers include researchers and tree officers from the UK, Netherlands and Germany. Delegates are invited to register their attendance for the event on Friday June 12th 2015, 10am – 5pm in Preston Park, Brighton, East Sussex, home of the national elm collection. Those wishing to present a topic are encouraged to do so by May 5th.

The deadline for submitting a topic for presentation is Monday May 5th. Registering your attendance, which is free, is essential and should be made as soon as possible with spaces limited.
