Bees sweeten the deal at Wandsworth Prison.

25th Octorber 2018

Staff at Wandsworth Prison have enjoyed the produce from the two beehives installed as part of The Conservation Foundation’s project, Unlocking Nature. A bee group was established for the project led by beekeeper Sharon Bassey, and proved a great success. Honey was collected and put into jars  complete with labels printed by stamps, pictured, designed by first-year design students from Goldsmiths University.  The honey has proved a real hit with staff and prisoners alike and raised funds for an international bee research charity and the bee group has proved so successful that it is continuing beyond the end of Unlocking Nature.
