Solving the Bushmeat Challenge in Cameroon  

How is COVID-19 affecting the hunting, trading, andconsumption of wild meat? In a quest to answer this, Mama Mouamfon and Cedric Thibaut Kamogne Tagne from Terre Vivante, have conducted a series of interviews with residents from Cameroon’s Dja Faunal Reserve. Since the outbreak, there have been global calls to ban wild meat trade and consumption. But such restrictions overlook rural populations that depend on bushmeat for their livelihoods and wellbeing. In a blog on the IIED, they outline the different perspectives from the local population.
