Teachers, parents and children from Mawdesley St Peter’s CofE Primary School, in Ormskirk, Lancashire collected tools in October for a new garden they are creating at the school. The tools were all repaired and refurbished at Garth prison as part of the Tools Shed project. Hundreds of refurbished tools will be given away to schools and community groups at the next Lancashire giveaway in December. To register for new tools, sign up at www.conservationfoundation.co.uk/tools.

This is a great time of year to clear out your sheds and garages and donate any old unwanted or broken garden tools to the project. We now have six collection points for old tools in Lancashire – check out our map and  get clearing!
