July 19th – 23rd 2021
Pivot2021 event: Geothermal. Reimagined.
PIVOT is a decade-long conference series focused on catalysing startups, governments, philanthropists, investors, oil, gas and geothermal industry players to collaborate, innovate, and push geothermal development into exponential growth globally by 2030.
On July 19 – 23, Pivot2021 will feature over 165 speakers across 35 sessions on a variety of contemporary geothermal topics. The virtual event will be translated live into ten languages, and is free to attend.
Expect fresh faces, new concepts, oil and gas engagement, and a lot of excitement about building the future of geothermal energy – according to the Executive Director of the Geothermal Entrepreneurship Organization (GEO), Jamie Beard.
On Monday July 19, our Head of Operations Neil Maddison will be speaking on the panel “Geothermal & Social License: Implications and Considerations for Oil & Gas Engagement” led by Joana Dunlop from Society of Petroleum Engineers International. Neil has a wealth of experience in community engagement, so we look forward to his insights in the geothermal space. A sector the Conservation Foundation is involved in as a key partner in the GeoFutures GreenInvest project in East Africa.
