Building Back Better Through a Green Recovery

The Conservation Foundation is working on a geothermal project – GeoFutures GreenInvest – which supports the creation of 600 MW of low cost, reliable geothermal power in Kenya and Ethiopia supplying more than 31.5 million people with power and avoiding almost 3.1 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

While this will help contribute toward SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 13 (Climate Action) our partnership works to further safeguard our commitment to positively impact and support local populations.
